Use of phytate for water treatment
- Scope: Spain
- Application date: 14/10/2005
University researchers have patented a new method which states that the use of phytate inhibits the nucleation and growth of a divalent cation salts selected from Ca2+ and Mg2+ in the water. So, it is possible to avoid crystallization of calcium and magnesium salts, using very small quantities of the product.
