Research of the historical communities of different places

Service aimed at the study of populations from deposits

At the University there is a research group focuses on studies of archaeological sites, in order to develop and apply documentation techniques and records, and disseminate the results extracted.

Its research is based on two lines of work: study of the insular historical communities of the Mediterranean environment, and study of current indigenous communities.

This service is aimed at public administrations and entities interested in investigating archaeological sites in their territory.

The University of the Balearic Islands has carried out numerous projects related to the study of insular indigenous communities: Puig de Sa Morisca, Closos de Can Gaià, Son Ferrer, Illa d'en Colom, Naveta Alemana, Agua Dulce, etc.
