Study and advice on advanced solar energy and simulation systems
Study and simulation of solar thermal and photovoltaic systems.
Solar energy is a renewable energy from which electricity (photovoltaic solar energy) or heat (solar thermal energy) can be obtained. Thermal solar energy includes the heating of potable water, heating of buildings, cooling with solar thermal systems and steam processes.
A research group of the Mechanic Engineering Area from the UIB offers advice and simulation of advanced photovoltaic and thermal solar energy systems. In addition, they carry out studies on high systems (provide heat to more than 500 ºC), medium (between 100 ºC-300 ºC) and low temperature (less than 65 ºC) for industrial applications.
