Based on the parameters and the data provided by the interested party, a simulation of the necessary resources is made to improve a service from the point of view of the reduction of the lists or average waiting time. In another variant, an answer is given to how a reduction or increase in resources can affect the average waiting time of the users.
The waiting lists management is an especially important activity in the health care sector (hospitals, nursing homes …), but it is also applicable to the design of road infrastructures to avoid, for example, traffic congestion.
