2022-2023 Spanish Language and Culture Course (FEBRUARY-JUNE 2022-23)

The Spanish Language and Culture courses at the University of the Balearic Islands aim to boost students' communication skills and help them acquire the necessary knowledge in Spanish to fluently communicate with Spanish speakers in everyday and professional activities, as well as be a way for them to discover Spanish culture as an essential part of the language learning process.

The UIB uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages when designing its courses, which enables a common basis for teaching and learning second languages to be established.

This framework sets out a common system of language skills based on three separate levels (A, B and C) that each include two sub-levels. The levels cover general and communication skills for students or users when undertaking specific activities in a second language (reception, production, interaction and mediation).
