Development of applications for social robots

The University offers its experience in developing applications aimed at social robots to help sick or elderly people.

Social robots have been created, specifically, to coexist with people and interact to them. Thanks to the development and installation of applications in robots, they can improve and facilitate the life of people with special needs (elderly, autism, disabled people, etc.).

A research group from the Mathematics and Computing Department of the UIB with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, inductive learning methods and virtual and augmented reality, offers its knowledge to develop computer applications that can be integrated into social agents able to interact naturally with the user, through a robot with social and emotional capacities.
